Sales Presentation Training – Day III

Finally, we have come to the last day of the training. Yesss!! But, this is ze’ most killing day because we (me, PINKy, CheeseChoc and SFR) have to do a formal presentation right in front of everybody. I think, SFR might chickened-out. He did not show up. Hehe.. you naughty-naughty SFR.

Yesterday night, I had really wanted to prepare my slides for the presentation. Then again, at midnight Dedek, my youngest daughter she wants me to put her to sleep and so, what happened was I slept along with her. At about 3 in the morning, I was awake by my hubby, which I thought he awaken me instead when I asked him this morning, he had the slightest idea. Hmm.. Anyways, I did wake up at that wee hour and I prepared whatever I could for today’s presentation. I finally get to finish it at about 5 am. I then, went back to sleep.

When I got to the training room, I already started to have butterflies in my stomach. Obviously, this is what you will feel, if you did not prepare for the presentation, right? I am so nervous. Yvonne went first and she did great. This makes me worry even more because other people actually prepared and they are really good. OMG! This is going to be embarrassing. Furthermore, Farooq is taping us up.

I just sat there quietly and tried to memorize as much as I can, before it’s my turn. In the end, I was the 2nd last. Hehe.. I did cheat though during the 10 minutes presentation. I actually have a script on my powerpoint slides but not all realizes that (especially my boss-to-be, he didn’t know that I was actually reading HIS scripts).. hehe and so, below is the comments given by the members of the floor on the presentation given by me, Ace~.

Negatives
1. Why focus on Farooq alone? , too fast pace
2. Eye contact only to one side, no attention getter, read from
3. Reading script, less eye contact – Due to not prepared
4. Lack of eye contact, reading to self & does not “engage” with
5. Eye contact – is only focus to one person
6. Improve eye contact with audience
7. No contact
8. Look at us more
9. Like scolding people – This is funny though, was I really?
10. Eye contact – concentrate more on one angle, nervous, talk too fast
11. No eye contact, too much referring to slides = you are reading the slides, no interaction with audience

** Hehe, all in all these people are complaining on lacking of my eye contact. Well, first of all, I was too nervous and secondly, how do I make an eye contact when I hardly know what the slides are talking about, thus I have to actually focus on the screen for my scripts.

Positives
1. Very expressive, knows her subject well, fast
2. Well spoken, good body language, very confident
3. Good use of vocal
4. Clear voice projection, good contents
5. Clear voice projection, excellent English
6. Good voice projection
7. Good English, smooth, nice voice – try to sing, good tone – Malaysian Idol?
8. Believes on what she saying, fluent in talking, good English, good projection on voice, sweet lovely mama, sweet smile – I wonder who wrote this. Hmm… could it be????.
9. Good voice vocal, well explain
10. Good body language, good slides, good command of English
11. Strong vocal, interesting & clear presentation, good understanding of subject matter

** In conclusion, my voice projection was good and since I have the slightest idea on what the slides talks about yet people say that I have a good understanding of subject matter, this actually means I am some kind of a good actress…?? I am convincing, aren’t I?

Overall, this is what Farooq has to say about me. In simple words, he said that I could give a powerful presentation if I want to but, surely I have to do a lot of homework, which is do my own slides (for this, I actually just got my slides from my boss-to-be the day before at 7pm), use my own scripts (which also I am using my boss-to-be scripts). Hence, in future need to do everything my own and so, I would be able to deliver my presentation smoothly, more believable, convincing and good.

To wrap it up, the 3 days session was really good. I benefit a lot from it plus, I get to know my officemate better such as Mr X, Mr Y and Mr Z. Hmm..? Hehe… Not forgetting, Azlina, Micheal, Yvonne, Mala, Vincent, AW and James. Without all of them, it wouldn’t be a success. Our group, RocKS!!

Nite people!!!
