RED ALERT!! RED ALERT!!

Goodness me. I went to MV for lunch today because I need to get something for my darling kids. The weather out there was really terrible. The furthest I could see is roughly 100 meters away. The air that we breathe is as though it has been sheathe by the massive smoky haze. Not only that, it also smells really bad. I can even smell it when I enter the toilet at my client’s. It was a pungent smell that irritates your nose. I can hardly breathe.

I’ve got an email from a friend. According to the email, if the API (Air Pollutant Index) reaches 300 and above, it is considered as dangerous. FYI, Kuala Lumpur’s API is 460. So, how come no action is to be taken??? Don’t they realize that the weather is very bad for us??? Our health is at stake here? HELLO!!!!

*sigh*

Shouldn’t they be announcing ‘Darurat’ or something? Anyways, for our own good, do as per below on preventing the haze-related illnesses:

  1. Closed all the windows. Boiled water and allow the steam filled up the room
  2. Limit outdoor activities
  3. Always wash/bathe as soon as you return from some outdoor activities/work/school..etc
  4. Do not open windows while driving. Turn on the air-conditioner.
  5. Drink a lot of water
  6. Smokers are advised to quit smoking
  7. Those who suffers from disease such as asthma, flu or whatever. Seek immediate treatment if your condition worsen

Hopefully, this hazy weather will come to an end.
