Gosh! It is just 10 o’clock and I’m already feeling sleepy. I have no ‘real work’ to do. I mean, I am not totally free but I tend to not do the work that I currently have. Reason being, the only task on my plate is support jobs and it is not as if, it is very easy to do because firstly, I will need to do lots and lots of testing and troubleshooting and secondly, after all the tests being done, it is actually back to the limitations of the product itself. Hence, it is more of a waste of time to me. Don’t you think?
I am now waiting to be stationed somewhere, just waiting for the project to start. Please, I want to get out of here. I don’t like being in the office without anything to do. It is like a prison to me since I can’t be all too relaxing in office and have to keep on pretending that I am busy. Well, you should know how typical office environments like. Not everybody is so open and accept the fact that you have nothing to do unlike my previous company. We could play games and do whatever we like, so long our job is done. We could even go shopping for hours and hours, man!!! Heheh.. thanks to CheeseChoc, that is! So long we tell him the truth and I always do! How I wish all bosses are like him!!
Okay, forget about the boring stuff. Hey, have you guys seen the new Petronas – Raya advertisement on TV these few days? I think this is by far the most poignant message Petronas trying to put across.
The story was about a daughter who has to look after the old and sick father. The daughter’s husband was unwilling but had no choice but to accept the father-in-law to stay with them.
While having dinner, the old and sick father accidentally breaks the cup and the son-in-law gave him an annoying look. Then, at the next dinner that they have, he spills the gravy on the table. And one day the father farted during the meal.
The daughter and son-in-law couldn’t tolerate with the father’s behavior anymore, hence they prepared a table and chair outside the dining area. The father was given a plastic tray, the ‘the-tarik’ kind of cup and he was asked to wear diapers.
The old and sick father was sad at the treatment he got from his own daughter and son-in-law.
One evening, the grandchildren were playing with a table and chair at the lawn. The daughter and the husband asked their kids, what game that you are playing and so, this is what the kids reply. Something like this because I could not remember the exact words being said.
“Nanti, bila kakak dah besar, mama dan papa duduk kat sini and kakak dan adik berdiri kat luar”, said the granddaughter.
“Papa jangan lupa pakai lampin tau!”, added the grandson.
Then, both the daughter and the son-in-law realized what they have done. The daughter went to the father for forgiveness. The father smile and patted her on the head. And then, the camera zooms to their picture on the wall, in the same position.
Moral of the story : Always remember to treat your parents with love and care as they are the ones who gave you the life after you were born, look after you when you are sick, care and concern when you are down and they are always there no matter what. Also, do the same to your kids, love them, nurture them the best way you can, do not feed them with shameless behaviors and most importantly guide them to become ‘anak yang soleh/solehah’ because they tend to pick up and follow and repeat the same thing as they grow up in which we wouldn’t want that. Try hard to reduce any quarrels, bad habits in front of your kids. Easy said than done, but no harm trying, rite? We are all humans and we can never run from making mistakes, but making one is indeed good if you get to learn from it and change yourself to better! ;)
So, if you don't want your kids to do whatever you don't like to you than don't do it to your parents or anyone else!! Start treating everyone nice!!
Selamat Hari Raya & Maaf Zahir Batin!
p/s: I would definitely put the advert in my blog if I ever find it in the internet, meanwhile just watch out for the advert in TV. Cheers~.
