FYI, Dr. Jaswant Singh works in Pusat Kesihatan UKM. Yupp, so I drove all over from PJ to Bangi this morning. I used to stay in Kamsis Aminuddin Baki, UKM for 8 momentous years. When I entered UKM, instantly all the memories flashes. Hey! That was 8 years, man!!! My family and I moved into the house on the hills, between the males and females dormitories when I was at the age of 16. Initially, my teenage years, my uni years, I spent it all here. UKM was a home to me when it was just a place to study for the rest of the people out there.
*sigh*
I truly missed it. UKM witnessed a lot of me. Amongst :-
- My happy times working after SPM in Kelab Rekreasi UKM (KRU) with my BBB good friends, Nazrul and Razeen. Yupp! I was the cashier and they were the waiters. Still remember, we punched our card early in the morning just so that we could earn more when we were actually playing tennis. Hehe.. and what’s more, when Nazrul tries to hit on me. Everyday without fail he will try to get my attention, he will put roses, brooches or whatever in my cash machine and as for me, I will try to run away from him and most of the time, I will always be with Razeen instead like playing golf or just running around in the fields or even hide in the Golf Shop. *evil grin* But, of course I ended up dating Nazrul because at that time, as my mom said, it is better to be with a person who really loves you rather than you love him. It somehow did not last long. I tried and I really cannot be with him. There is no spark, no chemistry.
- A place where my father get to meet all my boyfriends. Hehe.. as if I have a lot. I think I showed Nazrul, Mr. B and my hubby.
- Witnessed my break-ups with both Nazrul (can’t remember the exact place, I think it was somewhere FSKK?) and Mr. B (the verandah, when my parents are inside the house? Huh! I did that? Well, I guess I did. Heh!).
- Jogged and played water-gun at the lake / pond in front of FE. Note : The water-gun, I played with my nephew and a couple of guys I know from the daily jog whom I don’t get their names.
- I cycle around the whole UKM. Man! It was really tiring, especially when I need to climb the hill part. I felt as though the bike is not even moving.
- Played ‘kejar-kejar’ with my favourite buddies. Note : We played catching in my house (that time).
- I did my first year in FTSM. I didn’t get to finish it though because I got to fly to UK in my second year.
- The swing. Hmmpphhh…
- This is where I get to make a lot of new friends. Ctzz, Ayeen, Eris and lots more.
- An embarrassed moment during a Pantun competition. My hubby will crack into a huge laughter when we talk about this episode. I mean, even my father did not want to admit that I’m his daughter. Hahaha…
- I was engaged just right before my fiancee’s (at that time) graduation.
- I was even married here.
See, this list can go on and on. I tell you, 8 years was not a short one. Especially, when you are about that age, 16 – 24. When I got back from UK, I was sad because I did not get to share my happiness living in UKM with my daughter. Probably, one of these days, I will bring them just to show them where mommy and daddy meet up. Heh!!!
You guys can probably share your memories too with me. Just write it in the comments section. Share it!! It could be fun. We can laugh or cry together. Don’t think twice. Spill it!!!
Memories are our treasure of life.
