It is the ‘Judgment Day’. The day where I am going to announce to the whole world for the fifth time, within my 5 years of working experience that I will tender or put down my resignation.
To people who do not know and do not understand, they might think that I am a frog, a hopper. Well, maybe I am, but I am a frog, in which I hop with reasons, valid reason. I really hope that I will finally be in a place where I could stay for long, a very long time. Insyallah!
Anyways, this is unlike the others. This time, I did it at Mamak’s in front of another senior who happened to tendered 3 weeks earlier witnessing ‘my confession’ to my boss.
My boss came to our table and when he saw us, he was like, ‘Eh! Dating, yeh?’. I gave him a wry smile. I waited for him to sit comfortably before I said, ‘I have something to tell you’. He gave me a what-is-it-that-you-want-to-tell look. I then blurt out, ‘I am resigning’. The words came out along with my nervousness.
I was sad looking at his shocked face. However, there is nothing that I can do. I mean, I am leaving because of the ‘Moving to Cyberjaya’ thingy. Both, hubby and I think that by settling in Cyberjaya area, will definitely benefits us. It is simply because, we found a suitable school for our kids for kindergarten, as well as primary and secondary school for special kids in which they claimed that they have in Putrajaya. So, the only logical thing to do next is for me to get a job. And, tadda, moi got herself a job, not only just a job but a job that moi, herself, was specialized in. Inilah yang di katakan takdir dan ketentuan Ilahi. Alhamdulillah, aku bersyukur sangat-sangat kepada Allah. Terima Kasih.
Back to my boss, after giving me few are-you-serious looks, he then asked, “Any friends that you can recommend?”. “Sorry, I am afraid I have none. Anyways, my friend is already in, M”. I said with a smile. He just said, “Give me a second. I need to make a drastic call”. He turned his back to us, took out his cell phone and dialed a number. He was conversing in Cantonese, but somehow I could sense that he is talking to probably a Head Hunter or the HR in regards to they really need to get a replacement ASAP. After a while, he turned to look at me and state, “What a shame”.
I didn’t know what else to say, so I excused myself.
Mission Completed!!
