Another Friday...

A normal Friday night would be me lazing around with the whole family in the tv room upstairs. A typical scenario is me browsing on the net, hubby lying and watching the telly and the kids, jumping up and down, cries and no cries, horse-riding ‘me’, keeps on asking one after another bottle of milk but still fails to doze off.

Tonight is like any other night. Still with the same Friday night routine but, the only difference is that, there are guests in the house. The very-exhausted-guests. The usually-empty-room-at-the-back now filled with human beings. My hubby’s twin brother and family are here. They just arrived from Sarawak late afternoon. They were supposed to reach in the morning. However, thanks to MAS-airplane-main-window-screen-cracked, they were delayed. The plane made an emergency landing in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. They finally flew to KL few hours later. Alhamdulillah, they are now safe and sound in my home.

They went to bed rather early as they must be totally worn-out. As for me, I have been attached to the notebook like forever, but I was just ‘blog-hopping’.

There are lots of things for me to write-on, but I was too lazy? Or probably not inspired to write? Anyways, I thought of just writing whatever I feel like to, perhaps once I start to rattle, the stories would make its way. *wink* *wink*

~MC?
Remember in my previous post, I wanted to tell a funny story in regards of me getting MC? Well, it’s actually nothing much, just that, I am kind of saving my annual leaves for the Christmas till Raya Haji and New Year’s Day break.

Thus, the other day, I had to attend an interview in Cyberjaya. I had no choice but to get an MC. I am just those very few people who do not know how to get an MC if not sick! My hubby and friends have taught me many times on how to get one, but I failed miserably each and every time.

After the interview, I went to this one particular clinic in which a colleague told me that we could actually just buy the MC at the counter. Being me, I had to wait for the queue to go in and see a doctor. It was lunch time. There were quite a few patients. I have rehearsed my lines many, many times in my head.

Then, they finally called me in. I felt as if, the doctor gave me a suspicious look when, in real fact, it was more of me feeling guilty. Heheh.. I mean, the doctor knows naught, rite? Anyways, I ended up telling him that I have a headache. I showed him the aching part. I then told him, I needed a rest hence the MC? However, since I was all dressed in my office attire, the doctor gave me half day and again, being me, I don’t dare to open my mouth. I just stared at him helplessly and the door’s closed behind my back. *sigh* *double sigh*

The assistant called me and gave me the MC. I asked for the receipt because I needed to claim and what shocked me was that, the doctor told his assistant that I need not pay. The doctor gave it for free. Gosh! Dahlah MC dapat half day, lepas tuh tak dek resit pulak? Mujurlah jugak, at least tak dek lah rugi sagat, kan? Leh pergi carik MC kat tempat lain lak. Lastly, I told myself.

See, getting an MC is unquestionably not an easy task for me. Ultimately, I waited until my hubby came back from work and since, by hook or by crook I had to get it, so I had to tell another sweet lie to a different doctor at a different clinic.

This time, I had more confidence or probably, it is due to the tension. I went in, gave him my best ‘ill’ face and yippeeeee. 5 minutes later, I have got myself MC. Bravo! Muahahaha….

~Friday Get-Away
If last Friday, Maxis & Digi team had a friendly match of pool (Eh! Did I just say that we played pool? Heheh.. tell you in a bit), today, Maxis team had a shopping escapade.

*Flashback Mode*
Last Friday, Digi team was happy and free-er than any other day because ‘San Koh’ is not around. The usual one hour break had dragged to two or more ;). Initially, we just want to hang out and chit-chat but, somehow we were bored & extra free thus, emerging the idea of ‘playing pool’.

For your information, I never played a real pool game before other than playing just whatever-with-our-own-girly-rule, back when I was in UK. This time, it was something like, on-the-game-training? I have 3 trainers who tutored me the game with their own game-style. After succeeding in putting the ball in the hole, it kinds of make me get the hang of it and having so much fun. Woohoo! It was fun, man! My so-called trainers said that I had the potential. Muahahah.. so, I supposed they have to tutor me more!!! Haih! I wonder when can I have my next lesson…???? Hope it doesn’t end there because I think, I have just got myself addicted. Heheh..

Maxis team had a meeting in Maxis KL Sentral. The meeting was in the morning. It ended even before lunch.

“Where to now, going back to office?” Asked my PM to me. I was like, shaking my head nonchalantly. He turned and faced PY. He repeated the same question to her and to his amazement, PY said ‘shopping’. Our PM had no choice other than to follow us, the subordinates.

Hence, we had a small talk about work before we had fun, ‘Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan’ in KLCC. In between our shopping spree, our Maxis client called for some modifications. We had to stop at Starbucks to get ourselves on-line. Perfect! We could still do work and have fun at the same time ;). After all the fixing has been done, we continued our tiny little adventure in KLCC. Got some stuff for myself and friends.
