The Lift

Did you guys read about the laborer walks into the lift shaft and plunged to his death? Well, this is what happened. M and I went to Amcorp for lunch. We parked at B2 and ate at LG.

As usual, M and I can talk and talk non-stop. We were waiting for the lift to go down to the car. There was another guy waiting for the lift with us. Then, we saw a lift open and still continues chit-chatting without even glancing to look whether the lift is going up or down.

We ignored the people inside and still carry on talking until I wanted to press the B2 button. I suddenly realized that we were going up. I looked at M and gave her a shocked face. We turn to see the guy behind us and he was like, Yupp! The lift is going up. And we were like, ok!

So, it hits us that, the walk into the lift and plunged to death might just happen to both of us if we don’t stop talking and look at the lift indicator whether the lift is going up or down instead of just storms in the lift.

So, the morale here is, you can talk while waiting for the lift but once the lift is open, stop talking for a while and make sure of 2 things:

1. Make sure the lift is REALLY there. Important!! BIG TIME.


2. Make sure you chose the right lift to go up or down. Coz, you might not want to spend few minutes going nowhere. Hehe…

And so, after that you can continue with your gossiping or whatever again. Hehe..
