Trip to Malacca

Day 1 – 26/12/2005
We started our journey at 3pm. It was quite a short journey since we were from Nilai, my parent’s house. We reached Watercity at about 3.45pm to 4pm. We could’ve reached earlier, but due to the traffic we were stalled for a while.

I went to check-in. However, I was told that my room was not ready. Hello! You told me to come after 3pm and that is exactly what I did. I was annoyed, but I told myself to cool it, as I want to have a happy holidays. Probably after nearly an hour, we finally got our room. After exchanging smiles, I head to our room, 1-3-F.

Once I got in the room, I realized that there was no towels (I supposed, they were in a hurry that they tend to forget), the place was not properly clean and to top it up, the moment we got in the room, there was no electricity, we have to switch on the main switch outside the room? As if we know that, but we were the EXPLORER type thus we could find it. I am not trying to be irritating customer, but I am paying RM170 for the one-night stay and RM340 for 2 nights. Can’t I at least get what I am paying? I deserved to be treated better.

I would say that Watercity is a nice place to go, especially to have a ‘Family Day’. But, they surely need to maintain the place and services.
There is a lot of activities such as Go-Kart, Kayaking, Karaoke, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Volleyball, Futsal, Tennis and lots more. What I specifically like is the concept of Watercity was that there is a man made pool in between of the apartments. You can just take a walk on the ‘titi gantung’ and feel like you are as if in the middle of the sea.
That night, my small ‘family of 4’, leisurely walk through the whole of Watercity and we find ourselves laughing and having fun with the kids in which we seldom have. Kakak and Dedek were freely jumping and running around. Both of them were so exhausted that night, Dedek didn’t wake up at all in the middle of the night and as for Kakak, she probably was sooo tired that she cried in her sleep.

Day 2 – 27/12/2005
That morning after having our breakfast, we bring the kids to the ‘Children’s Play Water Area’. They both were doubly excited. They can’t wait to touch the water. The moment they touch the water, one by one started to scream. My hubby walked them to the other end. They were so scared that they just stand still. There were big mushrooms everywhere and waters came down from it. My hubby took them near to the mushroom and they freaked out. They both frantically run and scream their lungs out. Hahaha..

Next on the agenda list was to ‘Jalan-Jalan Bandar Melaka’. We lead ourselves to Bandar Hilir. We went to A Famosa. We had to climb up the stairs. Dedek didn’t want to walk hence I had to carry her all the way. Not long after, heavy rain starts pouring. We roofed ourselves in Muzium Senibina. Thanks to the rain, coz if not I wouldn’t find myself in that Museum. Hehe…

We had no choice but to move on since there is no sign of the rain going to stop any soon. We drive to Mahkota Parade to have our lunch. Dedek was probably really tired plus it was her noon-bed-time. She slept on my hubby’s shoulders. Hehe..

We then headed back to our room to rest. I tell you, holidays with kids surely are tiring. Hehe.. Believe me!!!

That night, we went to eat ‘Ikan Bakar’ in Medan Ikan Bakar Duyung. Ayah Chik (my bro-in-law) directed us the way. Yupp, my bro-in-law works in Alor Gajah, Malacca. He came to have dinner with us.

On the same night, Kakak’s temperature went high up. She had a FEVER. We bath her. We gave her a lot of water. We covered her with blanket. I hugged her the whole night and I was lucky coz the next morning, her temperature went down.

Day 3 – 28/12/2005
My tummy starts to feel weird. Dedek and Kakak as well were not well. My hubby is the only one in the family who is still surviving. He too had flu, but at least he was still able to move around. If not, I am not quite sure how the holiday would end. Hehe..

We reached home at noon. I then just lie down until bedtime, everything else was done by my hubby. Despite of he too being sick, he had to force himself to look after the 3 of us. He went out to get dinner and he fed my kids. Thanks, Babah. You are simply the GREATEST! Muahsss…

Not forgetting, he massaged me. Hehe.. I like his massages.

I guess, that is finally it, the end of the Malacca trip.
