“Royal Ace~ Almond London” first debut for Raya 2007

Hehe.. presenting, my very first Biskut Raya of the year, “Royal Ace~ Almond London”.

Initially, I did not have the mood at all to bake my all time favourite cheesecake, what more baking cookies and such. However, it all changes when Mr. Hubby brought back empty biscuit containers ;). The containers looked so comfortable on the kitchen shelf that each time I went into the kitchen, automatically my eyes are fixed on it. The containers are as if giving me the look of, “Are you or are you not filling me up with something?” Thus, I somehow had no choice but to make some cookies… haih!! Lame excuse, huh! Heheh..

This is my first time baking “Almond London” and I tell you, it taste good. And, I even thought of doing more ;).

So, let me share with you the recipe.

Royal Ace~ Almond London
(For 50 pieces)
Ingredients
200 gram butter
½ cup of icing sugar
50 pieces of almond nuts – (Cook it in the oven for a few minutes)
200 gram flour
2 cups of corn flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
I teaspoon vanilla essence
Cooking Chocolate – (Melt it using double-boil method)
Nibbled Almond Nuts – (for decoration)

Method and Steps
Steps 1 : Preheat oven to 180 degree celcius.
Steps 2 : Beat butter and icing sugar until well creamed.
Steps 3 : Add the vanilla essence.
Steps 4 : Sieve in flour, corn flour and baking powder .
Steps 5 : Mix it all well.
Steps 6 : Take a bit of the mixture, make a round shape and put the cooked almond nuts in.
Steps 7 : Now, once the almond nuts is in. Shape it into oblong and put it on the small size cupcake cases or paper liners.
Steps 8 : Bake it for 15 – 20 minutes.
Steps 9 : Let it cool for a while.
Steps 10 : Pour the melted chocolate on top of the biscuits and decorate it with the nibbled almond nuts.
