Satyamotsav 2008

There are so many things to be shared but without the mood to write, the idea disappears, just like that. Pooft!! Anyone experience the same thing before?

Anyways, in view of the fact that I do have the slightest mood to write and so I thought, I should probably start writing NOW!!!

Yesterday, we went to Sunway Lagoon to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. The company organized a ‘family day’ in conjunction to that.

The registration started at 8:30am and we drove out from the house at around 8-ish. It has been long since we last went to Sunway Lagoon and furthermore with the new Sunway Pyramid 2 built, we didn’t know how to go to Sunway Lagoon as in where to park and so, what we did was just following the signboard. The signboard led us to park at Sunway Pyramid 2, near to the Dry Park entrance.

I was a bit worried because I don’t see anyone at all when we passed the entrance and so, I called up the Office Manager my friend, Anita ;). And to my surprise, she said that we were at the wrong entrance. They are actually waiting at the Water Park entrance and it’s the entrance at the Resort. Hmm.. me and hubby, we are not at all familiar with that place and so, we decided to wait for the rest because while ding-dong’ing’ we saw, one after another colleagues cars passed us. Then again, none of them know on where’s the place that we should gather. Oh dear! Crap!!

Suddenly, I got a call from Anita. She said that we are totally at the wrong side and we have to figure out on how to go to the other entrance. Thank goodness, there’s this young man who works for Sunway of course was kindly enough to give us the information on how to go to the other entrance. His direction was a simple go straight, go down to the left, make another left and go all the way.

By the time I got back to my car, I saw my colleagues gathered and asking each other on where’s the registration place. As always, me trying to be the ‘savior’ of the day, I made an announcement :). I shouted to whole lot of them that we are actually at the wrong side of the entrance and we have to go to the other side and as of now, I am not pretty sure of how to go there but, I will try to lead and so, let us do this together. Kuang3x. Ain’t that funny? Well, to me it is.

And so, hubby started his engine and so, we begin to follow the boy’s instructions. Gosh! The direction he gave us was easy but somehow, the implementing part did confuse us a little bit! Heheh. The funnier part was we were in front to try and figure out the way. We turn left and left again accordingly until we saw that we made a wrong turn. Hubby and I decided to turn back and try out a different route and only then, we saw it was a very long line of cars behind us. It was hilarious. And you can see, the cars in front trying to make a turn as well and the cars at the back just cut way and followed us behind. Hahaha… I am not good at describing but as far as I remembered, the memories sure make us laugh.

Finally, we saw the entrance and it was just footsteps away. That’s relieving! When we got out of our car, we can see one by one cars parked nearby our car. Hahaha.. it’s like a ‘long tail’ we have there, you know!

Yikes! I guess, this entry is going to be a long one since I am not done yet ;).

Nevertheless, at last we made it to the registration desk and we managed to get in. Our breakfast ‘Nasi Lemak’ patiently waited for us. Heheh… Since I ‘tapau-ed’ sandwiches from home and we ate in the car thus, I was kind of full. Instead of eating breakfast, I mingled around together with my darling daughters.

Kakak and Dedek was so excited. They are just so happy to see so many faces and so many abang and kakak to ‘layan’ them. However, their favourite would of course be, Kak Siti and Kak Edda. They will follow them everywhere they go and they will join in almost all the photo-taking too!

But, all that didn’t last long. After an hour, they started to feel bored. They got agitated. Kakak has started to put small tantrums. As for Dedek, she behaved pretty well until she saw the ‘clown’ who blows the balloons. She started to scream and shout like nobody’s business. There’s this one time, Dedek was finally okay to have the clown around and so, the clown came nearer to her to blow her a balloon. She accepted the balloon and managed to give a smile. Then again, the smile faded and was exchanged with a very loud cry. The moment the clown opened hs mouth and told her not to be afraid, she wailed and wailed non-stop. I guess, the clown was better off quiet. Heheh..

After cutting the baloon ceremony and a short speech by the Head of GDC, we headed to the pool to have the telematch. However, me and family did not join because as if, I could let loose of my kids, right? I was 24 hours attached to the kids as they are so afraid to go in to the waters. Bummer!

So, we just hang around, played a bit of splashing here and there and that’s all. We just watched other people playing games most of the time. You know, it is really depressing when the first thing that you wanted to do is for your kids to have fun but somehow, it didn’t happened as you thought it would. I know I should stop expecting for something in which is unlikely but hey, I am a normal person and I would like to have a normal life too! Although, I might have gone through the same ‘thought it’s gonna be fun but it turns out to be not fun?’ many, many times but I never, never stop thinking that I might really have a good time, someday!

I am sure that my kids wanted to have fun as well but due to their minimal speech and they are not able to express themselves like telling me what they want, how they want it to be, it annoys them that I don’t understand and it irritates me that they put a tantrum over it.

Under the circumstances, I think they behave pretty well. There are some hiccups once in a while but we managed to survived and stayed until the event ended at 2pm.

Below are few snaps at Sunway Lagoon, 20th Anniversary. “Happy Birthday S*****”.
