BellyMom

My pregnant colleague is due in May and currently, she is just preparing her baby checklist like ‘the must have’, ‘the can buy later but just write it down first’ and ‘the don’t needs’. She is listing every single thing she can think of and after that, she will pass it to me and another colleague, ‘Aduh Salehah’ to verify her checklist.

Ok, since my pregnant colleague would be so long for me to repeat each time and so, let me just give her a name of the ‘BellyMom’? heheh..

BellyMom married a Romanian guy and since he is a foreigner, he is yet to have a valid driving license. So you see, most of the things BellyMom has to do it by herself. And so, BellyMom is worried on how is it for her to take back her new baby born if she has to drive herself. So, BellyMom said that she either need to get a baby car seat or a baby basket. However, me and ‘Aduh Salehah’ said that it’s not worth it to get the baby car seat or baby basket when you are not going to use much of it pun!

I actually have a baby car seat at home but, I didn’t want to offer because I thought I should look at the condition first, wash it and see whether it could be re-use. I mean, it’s for a new born baby to use and so, it’s important that the baby car seat is in good and hygienic condition. And so, that is exactly what I did.

And today, I finally brought it to office. I told BellyMom that I have the baby car seat with me in the car and she could first have a look at it. If she likes it then she could borrow it, of course, otherwise I’ll just bring it back home ;).

BellyMom was happy to know that she have a very kind friend like me.. heheh.. perasan lah tuh *wink**wink*. And so, we went down to my car. The moment she saw the baby car seat, I know that she likes it and it is to her taste. Heheh..

She then asked me how to use it, how to place it at the front seat and she also assured me that she will only borrow it for a couple of months and then, she will definitely wash it before she returns it.

I told her, what is there to rush? I mean, it’s not as if I am pregnant or anything. And plus, she can return it to me anytime unless I am not around as in out of the country lah kan.. heheh..

And so, she said the thing that always lingered in my mind, “Surely, one day you will have another baby right?”. I was speechless.

So, the question now would be, “Do I still want to give it a try for another baby?”. I have always wanted to have a baby boy. Well, that is what I told everyone. Then again, I don’t know. I have mixed feelings. What should I do? I’m confused.
