The television is on. My mp3 is on. However, my thoughts are just everywhere. This is what happens when you are all alone at God-Knows-Where. Yesterday, I had a so-called ‘date’ with a guy who I had worked with like 2 years back. He’s from India and back then, he was with our project for few weeks. Those days, I used to think that he was a very shy and quiet person. Probably, due to the task and datelines, we did not get to know each other better.
This time, it was totally different. I saw the other side of him. He is bubblier, funnier and very entertaining. He was definitely a good company. He brought me to have dinner at Esplanade.
On the way, we stopped by at the Esplanade free show and entertainment. There’s a group of people singing some songs and to tell you the truth, it was kind of fun. They sang very nice and they certainly have beautiful, beautiful voice. If not because the next day was a working day, I would have sit there a bit longer and enjoy the music ;). Oh! At this point of time, I really wish that my hubby was here with me. The whole scenario was amazingly romantic.
Him being him; will always do the look out of HALAL place for me so I did not have to worry at all. Thanks, man! Really appreciate that. We settled in a café by the name of 2 Hot Halal café. My date was so proper and gentleman. He asked what is it that I want to eat and he did all the orderings, but me being me, I will just say it out loud myself on what I want. Sorry!!! And then, he was like, “Could you please delay the main course?” I was like, oh ok! I mean, I normally have all of it on my table and just eat it altogether. Gosh! He was like a strictly decorous person. And, I just found out that he does not drink soft drink.
What happen was, when he asked me what drinks do I want to have and I was like, Pepsi? Coz, normally when I am tired I would need a gassy drink to boost up my energy. I know, it’s weird but hey, that’s me, man! You don’t even have to understand that, ok?
And he gave me a look. Pepsi? I said, yeah! And with the shocked face he turned and look at me to the eye, you drink that? For a while, I thought that I have said something wrong but it turns out that, he no longer take Pepsi and he never likes to eat McDonald’s. To him, it’s better and nicer to eat good food. I mean, yes it’s good to have REAL food but, sometimes you just want to eat something else, something like McDonald’s? hahaha..
Anyways, two hours being with him was a tiring one. We kept on laughing and laughing. Our topics were from Petrol, to Saudi, to Hajj, to My Mother-In-Law and lots more. He was saying something like, you know what, we should have taped our conversation so that we can analyze back and see what we think of our own conversation. hahaha…
Later we left the place and we took a leisurely walk towards the MRT. It was really nice at night, the lights and the stars. I totally forgot to bring my camera, if not I would have taken lots of pretty pictures to commemorate it by.
Thank you my friend for the lovely evening. I would really miss him once he’s done here and I’ll be left alone. Thus, I need to start searching for a new friend then ;).
Hello, anybody???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is it that I do when I am all alone stuck in a hotel room? I read the book that I brought along with me. I watch television although there’s no good movies or whatsoever. I day-dream, I cry remembering my daughters and my hubby at home. And, finally I sleep. See how monotonous my life is without my loved ones. I am like, so LOST!!!
