Who is Amit?

I was walking back from dinner with Wanie when we saw this.

So, who is Amit? Well, I know a guy named Amit. Amit is the kindest, the sweetest Indian guy from India that I have ever known.

I think, Amit and I are destined or fated to be together. Yesterday, when I thought that it’s going to be the worst birthday ever in my whole life somehow it actually ended fantastically ;).

I went back early to the hotel as I was so tired and so depressed due to work and plus, no one is there to celebrate my birthday. I mean, of all days, today is the day when Wanie had to be back in KL for interviews, Encik Ham had some family matters, Warda was in Hong Kong and Vin was stuck at work. I mean, I do not have that much of a friend in Singapore, you know.

And so, I was right in front of my lap top trying to eat the-one-slice-of-cake-that-I-bought-for-myself when Amit buzz and wished me Happy Birthday in MSN Messenger.

The rest of the conversation goes like this :
Amit said: so wats up.. and where the bday party ??
Ace~ said: what bday party.. i am stuck in spore.. all alone
Ace~ said: this is the worst bday ever..
Amit said: dont tell me. get out of the hotel.. where are we meeting.?
Ace~ said: hahaha... yeah rite

Few minutes later, my cell phone rings.

Amit : You think I’m kidding?
Ace~ : Erk, well.. yeah!
Amit : It’s your birthday and so, get the hell out of there. I’ll see you in Esplanade in half an hour.
Ace~ : (Still thinking). Erk.. ok, see you in 30 minutes.

It was really a surprise. One thing, I felt really ‘low’ because of my job and now, when I know Amit is in town, suddenly I felt energized.

I rushed myself to Esplanade and there he was waiting for me. He shook my hands and wished me Happy Birthday. And then, he took out something from his pocket.

“Sorry, I didn’t know what to get for you. This is the first thing that I saw.” He gave me chocolates. Gosh! Ain’t he a sweetheart? He bought me dinner and then, he walked me back to the MRT.

Amit, being Amit. He’s always a gentleman. He actually just landed from India but because he saw my MSN title “Happy Birthday to Me”, and so he instantly asked me out. Thank you very much, Amit.

And the best part is, he’ll be working with my client as well although we’ll be doing different things. Such a small world, huh!

Amit, I am really glad you are here. You are forever my life-saver. Thanks.
